What to do? This or That???

Scenario 1

I finish up school, pack up my apartment in Raleigh and move all of my belongings to a storage unit in Raleigh. Leave for my trip to Europe, paying for the storage unit and other things like my car, but not an apartment or bills associated with that. Then when I arrive back in America I will pack up the most needed things and head to Kearney to stay with my parents until I find a real job and move there.

Scenario 2

I finish up school and go on my trip, keeping my apartment and everything in Raleigh, and when I get back from Europe, I continuing living in Raleigh, trying to find an odd and ends job that probably won't give me enough money too pay for rent and bills, until I find a real job and move there.

Scenario 3

I finish up school, pack up my belongings and transport it all to Kearney, paying the large moving bill, then return to Raleigh and head out to Europe, upon returning, I will go back to Kearney, and try to find something to do until I find a real job and move there.

OK so all of these scenarios have similar and overlapping parts, but they all have very important different key qualities. What should I do? Is it smarter to move my stuff and pay for a storage unit and move home. Or, Stay in Raleigh and get into debt but be where I probably have a better chance of a better part time job, Or, Pay to move all my stuff home and pay to move it all again from Kearney.

I'm leaning toward Scenario 1, since money isn't exactly over whelming right now. I don't know how long it would last, it could be for 1 month, or 6 months...I pray that it wouldn't take 6 months but who knows. After undergrad, it was easier to stay in Norman that it would be to stay in Raleigh. I think it would be the cheapest to pay for a storage unit each month and live at home, and have very few bills.

Which Scenario is the smartest and best? The joy of deciding to not get a PhD is great, but the unknown for jobs is scary..and the unsureness of money is a big issue. I will get the job I want, I just don't know how long it will take. Any comments or better suggestions for my predicament?

The scary is infiltrating my life.

Love

I would go with Scenario #1. It seems to be the most practical.

Knowing you, I'm certain you can make any of them work, though. :-)

Love!

I totally agree with Elin--back to Norman! So, option 4...really #1, but instead of going back to Kearney, come to Norman!

Love your blog, btw...totally forgot about this blog site. I used to have several messages up on my site, but lost them all in the upgrade :-(

We miss you Jerilyn! We'll try to schedule a laundry date sometime soon? Oh, and I love the Pop thing! Sorry we can't be of much help in this huge decision you have to make of what to do after you graduate...at least you won't have to worry about PhD stuff. =)
